Why Do PCT?
« on: March 31, 2020, 06:17:24 PM »
People say that getting off-cycle helps your health. Yet, you can cycle yearlong and actually be healthier than the person getting on and off. This is a false assumption many individuals make. I'm not saying take five grams of steroids for life either. What I'm talking about is Blasting and Cruising. meaning I spend three months taking high doses and then three months of low doses. This ensures your body gets a break, and you lose fewer results compared to the other method. Which is stopping usage completely and using PCT in hopes you keep some results.

I think i can state this here without much of an issue, but i've been on AAS for around 10 years with only one 8 month break due to having surgery non-related to AAS or lifting weights.  I've been using AAS consistently for ~15 years.  I haven't taken more than a gram of gear a week in 6 years, just a gentle blast and cruise.  Basically blast in the summer and cruise in the winter.  My blood work is almost perfect, but i have good health genes in my family have haven't bulked up in years; i stay around 205 most of the year and lean.  I'm no monster, but i look and feel fantastic with a good diet.  I was much bigger years ago and very strong, but the doses i was taking were pretty stupid.  I'm just glad i didn't mess up my health.  Once you hit 35 it's very important to focus on your health over gains.  You can't get reckless anymore.

I agree. As I've gotten older, late 30's now, health is more important. However, I've blasted and cruised for years without doing PCT. Granted, I've had kids and done all that, so not worried about that part of it. For the younger guys, you still want to be cautious of shutting yourself down too hard if you want to keep things good in that department. Of course, conceived both my kids while on cycles so not sure on that 100%.
I've had times where I blasted longer than I should and feel like a cruise really helps. I feel like receptors need a break at times and just a mild TRT cruise does wonders once you start to blast again.

Mainly thing if you would like to use steroids forever, I would suggest avoiding orals and tren at all costs. Test, primo, deca,eq will affect your body much less. my 2 cents

Excellent point!  I haven't used heavy androgens in years.  I only use test/deca/eq and i'll add some Dbol for a few weeks every now and then.  I have no interest in using Tren or Anadrol anymore, those compounds make my bloodwork go downhill fast.  GH is great too, but i haven't used it in a few years due to cost.

The one thing to remember is if you do decide to come off after years of using, you will be in for an emotional roller coaster.  When i took 8 months off i used clomid/HCG for a while, but after 2-3 months my emotional state was very different; i didn't lose much size at all since i still trained, but i felt differently and was generally depressed for a while and didn't have the same energy on a daily basis.  I'm not saying this to scare anyone, but you need to keep this in mind.

I don't plan on coming off anytime soon, i also have a script for HRT if i decide to go that route.  Just things to consider.

Good point. A close friend just tapered off using HCG and clomid. We've both been on gear for a long time. He said it was rough. He eventually went back to TRT doses and will probably stay there.
GH is great, but definitely gets pricey. I ran for a couple years, but stopped because of the cost also. I've been using MK677 for a little while now. Seems like a good compromise. I sleep well with it and keeps my appetite strong like GH did.

Older I've gotten I made changes too.  Dropped orals, lowered my total mg's.
